The newspaper column

Connect-Ticket (CT), Sridhar’s Bombay Times column (1999–2001), connected citizens through goodwill. More than a column, it harnessed group energy, creating an ‘energy bank’ where readers could contribute and receive support in times of need.

Powerful CT meets

Sridhar and his wife, Chithra, formalised Connect-Ticket on July 29, 2001, with 35 people at a Mumbai temple. It soon went online, attracting global members while locals met fortnightly to send positive energy through prayers.

Group went global

Connect-Ticket expanded beyond Mumbai, with members hosting gatherings worldwide. Participants from India, Australia, Switzerland, and beyond joined in. These high-energy meetups blend prayer, healing, visualization, friendship, and food, uplifting both people and spaces.

CT events and donations

Since 2011, CT events have blended music, visualization, donations, and recognition, engaging audience energy. CT also funds and serves meals at hospitals like Sion, KEM, Tata Memorial, and JJ, supporting patients’ caretakers.

Is it a religious prayer group?

We are not a typical prayer group. We don’t chant, sing bhajans or recite shlokas. We do not follow any religion. We believe prayer as a force of energy works on the power of intention, not the technique. The technique can amplify but each one’s technique is valid.

How do you know the prayer request has worked?

Our job is to only pray and wish well for the prayer seeker. Rest is up to the Universe. We believe prayer always works; it’s just that we, with our state of awareness, are not able to realise it.

How long does it take for a prayer to work?

As said earlier, we only offer the prayer. Rest is outsourced to the universe. Again, in our understanding, prayer impacts immediately. After all, it’s group energy acting on that person. The effect may be subtle or visible, but there is no doubt that prayer works when the intention is pure.

Do you charge for the prayers?

We don’t charge, but we request the prayer seeker offer an energy exchange in return for the prayers. This needs to be ideally done before putting up the request. The energy exchange need necessarily be a monetary donation to CT (though that option is also available). You can do food donation, or donate to any NGO of your choice, or any commitment you can make in lieu of the prayers asked for. This is important because it prevents energy imbalance. After all, when you are asking for prayers, you are in effect asking for an ‘energy loan’ and you need to repay that in an energy form.

Are you a registered NGO?

No, we are a 24-year-old group that believes in trusting each other. When there is trust, documentation is not needed.
